Best of 2016

Over the past year I have done a tonne of new things. I have now looked back on what I have done and complied a list of the best. Some I have not blogged about yet but I assure you they are coming.

Christchurch – The deserted city was interesting in many ways. One being the way they are redeveloping the city.

Kayaking Kangaroo River – The river was so nice and peaceful. There was nothing around but us and nature. I loved the little rapids.

Ziplining – Getting out of my comfort zone was a big thing this year. Ziplining brought that to a new level. It definitely was an adventure and a half.

Four Waterfalls, one day – I haven’t posted all my posts on these waterfalls yet but I took a drive to Cascade Falls, Fitzroy Falls, Belmore Falls and Carrington Falls in the one day. It was interesting to see which ones were the crowd favourites and how the landscape did not change much.

Ice Skating – Even though it was a fake rink it was an amazing first attempt and experience. The weather was a perfect cloudy 5 degrees as well which helped set the scene.

Veterans Instameets – Instameets hosted by a pair of veterans. They have shown me the Milky Way, Leura Cascades and the sunset of the Harbour bridge (but the sky didn’t put on a show). They have taught me new camera tricks and how to appreciate my surroundings.

2016 has been a blast, it has seen me doing many new things and taking up new or old hobbies. I have worked really hard at joining new things. 2016 has also seen me start attending Uni of a sort to further my job prospects.

I can’t wait to see what the new year brings. Next year I will be blogging on the first and third Wednesday of every month because of my study but hope to keep up my daily instagram posts.

So, from Rotorua – Happy New Year!

See you on the other side
