Illawarra Rhododendron Gardens

So after a fantastic day roaming around Floriade in Canberra, I decided to check out the Illawarra Rhododendron Gardens which is near where I live.
I had never been there and didn’t know what to expect as I know it is a popular wedding venue.

After making two attempts to get there because we didn’t have any coins on us for the entry fee we finally started strolling around the garden. It was a mixture of colourful flowers, bush and mud. But it was an oasis away from all the cars, kids and animals roaming around the streets.
We were amazed how lovely the park is and how well kept it was.
The flowers were amazing a mix of Camillas, Clivias, Azaleas and heaps more.
I must say for a park around Wollongong it was pretty amazing. I would say it definitely is a must see!
